About the Artist: Bonny A Eberly
|
Porcelain Artist and Web Master, Bonny A Eberly
Bonny has been painting porcelain in her home studio in Binghamton, New York for over fifteen years. She holds a Master's Degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science from the University of Pennsylvania. After her 22 year career at a large computer firm, she has focused on her artwork. She was inspired to paint by her father, who was an artist himself.
She is a past-president of the
New York State chapter of the World Organization of China Painters. Participating in the WOCP, IPAT, and PPIO have provided Bonny the opportunity to study with contemporary porcelain artists. She began her porcelain art studies with Joyce Stewart, and has taken seminars and workshops with the following artists: Mary Gosden Chovin, Alzora Zaremba, Cherryl Meggs, Michael Turner, Phyllis McElhinney, Rocio Borobia, Gerry Burchill, Vi Lane, Becky Syroka, Jill Homan, San Do, Miki Rubin, Vicki George, M.Filipe Pierera, Peter Faust, Lorna Maclaren, and Adele P. Holt.
Bonny has expanded her painting to include watercolor and pastel. She has taken classes with Laurie Goldstein-Warren and Nancy Goff.
Bonny combined her love of art, porcelain painting, jewelry, with her computer skills to develop The BonBon Gallery, an online art gallery. The gallery has now closed as Bonny focuses on painting for pleasure with fellow china painters. |
